Since 1993, the National Golf Academy has instructed tens of thousands of golf lessons for all ages and abilities in both private and group formats.
The NGA is the Golf Academy for the City of Calgary Golf Course operations operating out of Shaganappi, Confederation Park and McCall lake. The NGA also owns the Dome on Macleod Trail, (formerly McCowans Golf Dome) we offer year round instruction and practice facilities to keep you at the top of your game.
Our professional instructors are some of Canada’s finest including:
- Terry Carter – Top 50 instructor in Canada/top 100 nominee in North America/2004 and 2009 PGA of Alberta Teacher of the year
- Grant Cook - 2008 PGA of Alberta Teacher of the year
- Darryl James – 2007/2008 PGA of Alberta Player of the year
- Clayton Robb – 2007 Lifetime achievement award, PGA of Alberta (golf instruction), 1996 PGA of Alberta Teacher of the year
- Shannon Mantrop – 2007 Master of Kinesiology graduate with a research specialization in golf biomechanics and golf fitness
- Jim Williams – 1997 PGA of Alberta Teacher of the Year
