Video Golf Tip:
The Split Hand Grip
We have another great drill to help you “slicers”
eliminate your slice. This drill is called the Split
Hand Grip. Just as the title states, with your
target hand on the club as normal, place your trail
hand on the club at the bottom of the handle so your
index finger touches the shaft of your club. You are
now holding the club with your hands split apart.
From here, try swinging the club as normal. You will
feel your trail hand roll over your target hand,
thus creating the proper movement required to square
the club to stop your slice. This feeling is called
the release. A faulty release is a very common fault
that can be fixed with the proper execution.
Watch the video attached to this tip and see how this can help you hit the ball straight.
Be sure to send this to a friend if you know of anyone who could benefit from this tip.
Each month we do a new video golf tip that relates to the theory of the National Golf Academy.
Good luck and happy golfing,
Terry Carter

Golf Fit Program, With the World Health Club and the National Golf Academy:
Every golfer wants to play better golf. From the once a year to every day golfer this is the common goal for all of us. It is a statistical fact that with all the advancements in equipment the average score for all golfers has not changed in over 20 years.
What is the missing link we are looking for, GOLF FITNESS? The ability to execute a perfect golf swing with no physical limitations. Many of those technical advances are geared toward compensating for things we physically cannot do whether through injury, age, and inactivity.
Welcome to Golf Fit, a program presented to you by World Health Club and the National Golf Academy. The Golf Fit program combines the expertise of World Health Club fitness experts and National Golf Academy golf instruction into a 12-week program designed to identify and correct physical limitations so that the golf instruction can focus on the optimal swing for improved results.
The program is split into two phases. The first phase is eight weeks of fitness training in a class environment focusing on flexibility, functional exercise, strength and power conducted by certified personal trainers.
The second phase is four weeks of intensive swing mechanics conducted by golf instructors from the National Golf Academy.
We at World Health Club and the National Golf Academy are convinced that combination of fitness and golf instruction will enhance the golf experience for golfers of all levels.
Remember golf is a highly athletic event and golfers are athletes.
