Off-Season Golf Performance Training: Is it important?

Too many golfers link the fall closing of the golf course with the end of their golf related fitness program.

To be ideally prepared for the golf season ahead, off season training is critical for golfers to identify and to correct any physical limitations and to develop a solid foundation of mobility, stability and aerobic capacity. This is necessary to develop optimum strength which will be reflected in improved speed and power. Being physically prepared will allow you to play the most consistent, most enjoyable, injury free golf of your life.

Video Golf Tip of the Month...

Trouble Shots:
Hitting From An Extreme Bad Lie

Here is a great way to hit a ball out of a bad lie.. With a sandwedge, place the ball back in your stance, move your hands forward at setup. In your backswing, be sure to set your hands early to get the club to swing up and down on a steep angle to get the ball to pop out of the long grass..

Trouble Shots: The Down Hill Lie

The Down Hill Lie... Here is a great tip that applies to all down hill lies in golf.. The key here is to get your body on the same slant as the ground in your setup position and swing along the lie of the ground... The common fault with this shot is to try to hang back to get the ball up in the air, thus hitting behind the ball.. Have a look at Darryl demonstrating this shot and get out and give it a try..
